Please check your order for proper fit without forcing before applying any paint, stain or finish. If applying paint with a brush, wipe excess from inside around device hole before installing or damage may occur due to brushed-on paint being generally thicker. Spray paint works better, easier, dries faster and has a smoother finish. If painting, staining or finishing your self, we can include scrap pieces for you to sample your color on if needed. Do not over tighten mounting screws. Mounting screws simply holds the plate to cover the electrical device and is not intended nor will it pull the electrical device forward. If the electrical device mounting strap is recessed in the wall small washers can be used between the electrical device and box to correct this, or you can get assistance from qualified personal.
